Waymills Housing Development.

As well as working with our internal consultants and architects, we also work with a range of external developers and property agencies. Working closely with large residential developers to provide Heritage Impact Assessments and Impact mitigation strategies for larger schemes.

How We Approached The Project

Our client provided us with a proposed development red-line boundary and an approximate plan for the development they would like to build out. From this, we were able to examine all of the designated and non-designated heritage assets within the site’s locality.

Whilst listed buildings and scheduled monuments are easy to identify, we are also able to make developers aware of the non-designated and locally listed heritage assets, which, if missed at an early stage, can often cause delays later down the line.

How We Achieved The Project

We provided our client with a comprehensive Heritage Impact Assessment to highlight all of the heritage assets likely to be affected by the development. Our guidance to the client ensured they were aware of any heritage risks and opportunities that may arise from the plan prior to submission, allowing the plans to be adapted accordingly.

Our comprehensive report aided a smooth application process, with no concerns or comments raised by the Local Authorities Archaeology and Conservation teams. The application has since been approved and we look forward to seeing works commence on site.
