As part of the planning application, a flood risk assessment was required due to the site being situated within flood zone 3. The site proposed caravan touring pitches, glamping pod, storage container used for amenity block and holiday cottage.
The FRA reviewed the risk of the site during times of flood and the additional surface water runoff from the development. Due to the nature of the site, a flood evacuation plan was also produced to ensure the site is being properly managed during times of flood. The recommendations from the FRA were to:
Implement and follow the flood evacuation plan
Install flood alarm system and EA flood notices
Delegate person for managing the site and reviewing flood alerts
