Berrys were approached by our client Harper Adams University to undertake planning and highways engineering support for a new project. The university wanted to develop a facility for the Institute of Animal Diagnostics and Health on a new employment site in Shropshire.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, Berrys led the planning strategy which included pre -application planning engagement with the council’s planning team and subsequently agreement to a Planning Performance Agreement (PPA) with Telford and Wrekin Council.
The project was time sensitive and the PPA ensured that deadlines were met by both the local planning authority and the project team to deliver a decision on an agreed time frame. Berrys prepared and submitted the planning application, provided support with planning design and access, as well as transport statements, working closely with project managers Currie and Brown throughout.
The scheme design was produced by AHR architects led by Clive Breeze, Regional Director. Developing a landmark building of quality occupying a prominent corner plot.
We were delighted to secure planning permission for our client on time and with the support of the local planning authority.
