Planning Permission Secured For Shrewsbury Business Park Office Development.

Berrys has secured planning permission for a substantial new commercial development on the edge of Shrewsbury.

The development will see the addition of seven new office buildings, positioned around a central landscaped courtyard.

How We Approached The Project

The vision is to provide an office complex which will also act as a social hub for occupants.

The courtyard has been designed to offer a shared area for relaxation and socialising, offering activities such as yoga. This, it is hoped, will create a sense of community within the development.

Shrewsbury Business Park is the largest business park in the town and this development will allow small businesses to co-locate on the park, which could lead to further job creation.

How We Achieved The Project

Berrys obtained planning permission on behalf of Alaska Projects. The proposal was prepared in collaboration with Walker Hay Architects, who designed the buildings and with Lingard Farrow Styles who designed the landscape.

Berrys prepared and submitted reserved matters applications for plots 26 and 27, each accompanied by a detailed planning statement. The statements made a strong case for the development in relation to local planning policy and to the original outline consent.

We achieved this positive outcome by keeping the conversation with Shropshire Council open, involving their case officer every step of the way.

This new development will be a very welcome addition to the Business Park.
