Village Extension Topo Survey.

A detailed topographic survey was required of a large site, for proposed expansion of a village.  The site area was approximately 35 hectares.

The survey included main road infrastructure adjacent to farmland. The topographic survey was carried out with a combination of GPS and Electronic theodolite.

The large size of the survey and nature of the terrain was a challenge, such that it required a qualified and experienced land surveyor, which Berrys have in-house.

The survey was to inform all future planning, engineering design and ecology.  Therefore, accurate alignment and level of main roads, retaining walls and field ditches was required.

Attention was also paid to the density and positioning of spot levels to create an accurate 3D model and contouring to inform the drainage design.

In addition, accurate hedge and tree mapping was also carried out.
