Cranford is a conservation village with the historic Cranford House and Park at its centre is a jewel in the Northamptonshire countryside.

An edge of village paddock site which historically was within the settlement boundary was proposed to be excluded in the new emerging Local Plan, which if agreed would have prevented the development the land. The site was within the Cranford Conservation Area and adjoined listed buildings. Access was also restricted.

An application was submitted by Berrys’ planning and architectural team for two dwellings on the paddock site before the new local plan advanced further, consent was granted.
