Hampton Bridge Refurbishment Project.

Spaghetti Bridge is a specialist educational provider for children with social, emotional and wellbeing needs. They identified a site in Northampton with potential to be the 10^th in their portfolio. Nazareth House was a former independent college which was originally used as convent. The building is Grade II* listed.

How We Approached The Project

Berrys has a track record of delivering for Spaghetti Bridge on other projects, therefore we were well placed to accelerate the pre-acquisition stage which included an integrated team of project managers, architects, heritage consultants and surveyors working concurrently to achieve the ambitious turnaround from acquisition to operational ready.

Our practical approach and strategy led to efficiencies in the design process and a decoupling of high and low risk items in the Listed Building Consent application allowing works to progress whilst decisions were on-going. The Heritage Consultant team’s knowledge and understanding of local authority  planning meant that they were able to provide guidance on the risk of the application and progress of works.
