Meadow Bridge Campus Extension Refurbishment Project.

Spaghetti Bridge is a specialist educational provider for children with social, emotional and wellbeing needs. The campus in Cricklade, Swindon was at capacity and with demand increasing they identified a nearby site to acquire as additional resource and campus space for approximately 40 more students.

How We Approached The Project

Berrys was approached to help Spaghetti Bridge through the due diligence stage of pre-acquisition enabling them to make the right offer and guide them on the estimated capital expenditure for refurbishment of the site.

The exisiting building was occupied as a nursery setting with many of the rooms and services outdated and not fit for purpose. Berrys set about instructing various surveyors and investigations to identify any potential construction risks and provide a basis of scope of works to be undertaken.

Berrys’ project management team sought early involvement from contractors and engagement with architects to put forward a development budget and programme for the client. In addition, the collaborative approach allowed for consultation on best procurement and contract strategy approach which was put forward in a report to the client ahead of the acquisition.

How We Achieved The Project

Berrys’ client centric approach focuses on what value means to the client. As with all projects, various parties have different needs and requirements. Our relationship with Spaghetti Bridge, has allowed us to understand the main drivers of their numerous stakeholders including their operational team and end users, investment committee and development team.
